Have an open mind and be creative and there is a mine of hacks you can use to detail your vehicle.
Hack #1: Clean out
Every time you stop to get gas, clean out your car. Empty out all the areas you or passengers place their trash. The spots in our car is the door compartments. I open each door and make sure each one is clean.
Hack#2: Pet hair
Are you wondering how those itty bitty pieces of dirt and pet hair got into the nooks and crannies of your car? Are you pulling at your hair on how to get it out? For pet hair use this solution: a spray bottle of water and a squeegee. Simply lightly mist the area with the pet hair and wipe away with a squeegee.
Hack #3: Toothpaste for Cloudy headlights.
Toothpaste can give you more than pearly whites. Toothpaste, especially the whitening one can give your headlights looking like new. It will take quite a bit of elbow grease though. What you can do is apply toothpaste to the lens with a cloth preferably an old nylon stocking and rub vigorously all over the lens. Rinse off completely with water and dry.
Hack #4: Steam Clean
If your carpet steam cleaner has attachments, use those to clean the carpets in your vehicle. Make sure to use the vacuum first to clean up the dirt, hair and dust.
Hack #5: Use a Small Paintbrush
Clean tight areas such as air vents, panel seams, and radio buttons with a dampened soft toothbrush, cotton swab, or small paintbrush. Don’t forget to clean the safety-belt buckles, change drawer, glove compartment, and ashtray. (Source: Consumer Reports)
